About Nichole Laborde Romero

Nichole Laborde Romero is a versatile litigator.  She is a native of Avoyelles Parish and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Northwestern State University in 2002 where she was involved in Student Government, Greek Life, Scholars’ College and Athletic Auxiliaries.  Nichole moved to Virginia after her graduation and, after a brief stint as an insurance adjuster, attended law school for two years at the Appalachian School of Law.  She then moved back home to her beloved Bayou State and completed her legal education at the Louisiana State University Law Center in 2006.  She had the honor of serving as law clerk for the Honorable William D. Hunter in the 16th Judicial District Court for two years after her graduation.  

Prior to joining Knezek Law, Nichole was in-house counsel defending a Fortune 500 company. Her diverse practice over the last fifteen years has included extensive work in insurance defense, workers’ compensation, longshore, maritime, business transactions, property and successions.  She is a creative thinker who enjoys developing solutions for complex legal problems.

When not engaged in the practice of law, Nichole keeps herself busy by spending time with her husband, Bart, and two children, Peyton and Connor. She can also be found reading or advising Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s campus.
